The Evacuation Chair Training course is aimed at all employees who may be required to assist anybody that may benefit from the use of an evacuation chair during an evacuation procedure.
To learn how to use the evacuation chair safely. The course will also lead your staff to have a better understanding of the fire regulations affecting mobility-impaired people along with the issues affecting those with mobility impairment.

Under the Equality Act 2010 it is unlawful to discriminate against any person with regard to any disability they may have. This includes the evacuation of your premises in the event of a fire. Being left behind in a building whilst other colleagues are leaving is not only unsafe, but is a clear breach of legislation which could result in legal action being taken against you. Correct procedures must be in place in the event of an incident and these procedures need to be learnt and practiced by anybody responsible for evacuating a building using evacuation equipment.
